Devil#

Summary#

In Beyond Good and Evil, Nietzsche invokes the devil rhetorically when discussing the popular interpretation of philosophical matters. He suggests that while the common view might claim “God is disproved, but not the Devil,” the philosopher must reject such popular formulations altogether, insisting that those who think deeply need not speak in the language of the masses.
