Truthfulness is the virtue that philosophers have traditionally spoken of with respect, closely tied to the Will to Truth. Yet Nietzsche questions this reverence, asking why we should value truth over untruth, uncertainty, or even ignorance. The problem of the value of truth itself becomes a philosophical risk worth raising.
