Summary#
Nietzsche argues that behind all logic and its seeming sovereignty of movement lie valuations, or more plainly, physiological demands for the maintenance of a definite mode of life. These valuations, such as preferring certainty over uncertainty or truth over illusion, may be merely superficial and necessary only for creatures like ourselves, rather than reflecting any objective measure of things.
